CEDES as the most important think tank in Argentina
According to a worldwide study by the University of Pennsylvania, CEDES has been selected as the most important think tank in Argentina for the year 2009 and the sixth most important center in Latin America. The study was conducted by Dr. James G. McGann, director of the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program of this university and was based on feedback from around the world.
A panel of 300 international experts participated in the nomination and rankings process of the institutions. Their opinions and views resulted from an analysis of a wide variety of criteria such as the quality of the academic and scientific production, the prestige of the institution, its size, the background of its members, the ability to retain elite scholars, the impact of its output on public policies, and the magnitude of its contacts and networks with other institutions.
